Duties/Responsibilities
Preparation and field work to collect macroinvertebrates and estimate aquatic plant density including labeling sample bottles, ordering supplies, organizing field equipment, walking to field sites, wading through streams, collecting and preserving macroinvertebrates. (40% of time)
Identification of macroinvertebrates including instruction on identification, microscopy, filling out and organizing datasheets. (57% of time)
Basic management of the supervisor's laboratory (order and organize supplies, adherence safety protocols, basic equipment maintenance). (3% of time)
