Benefits and Leave Coordinator
to join our corporate HR team. This hybrid role is based in
Birmingham, AL
and will report to the HR Manager.
Job Overview Your primary responsibilities include administering employee benefit programs such as health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), workers’ compensation, and wellness initiatives. You will serve as a liaison between employees and insurance providers, resolve issues, maintain accurate records in our HRIS and benefits systems, coordinate open enrollment across our 13 U.S. locations, and develop benefits training materials for the Learning Management System.
Qualifications
Understanding of benefit laws and compliance standards (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA)
Experience managing all aspects of group health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans—including onboarding, termination, COBRA administration, annual renewals, and open enrollment
Familiarity with multistate benefit and leave laws
Proficiency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), preferably UKG
Exceptional customer service to internal employees
Excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret and process paperwork and explain benefit programs
A 4‑year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent and 3‑4 years of experience are required. SHRM, CEBS, or similar HR certification is preferred.

Hours:
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Paid Time Off and holiday policy:
Up to 120 hours of PTO in your first year plus 8 paid holidays.
