Overview West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a Gastroenterologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV and/or Fairmont, WV.

Responsibilities

Practice in the areas of gastroenterology and hepatology.

Provide excellent patient care.

Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligibility for state medical license.

Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program and gastroenterology fellowship.

Board eligible/board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.

All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Benefits and Opportunities Our GI and Hepatology service line offers a complete range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, treats a medically diverse population, and has exposure to clinically challenging cases. We have a new and expanding endoscopy center including state‑of‑the‑art suites for advanced procedures and ERCPs, as well as close access to adjacent specialty clinics. Tremendous institutional support for academic pursuits, particularly pertaining to chronic viral hepatitis and inflammatory bowel disease, is available. The growing Section of Digestive Diseases offers opportunities to build and design programs within a large referral academic center.
