Position Summary: The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for executing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all hourly and salaried employees. This includes administering all aspects of the company's semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll operations, auditing, reporting, and compliance. This role serves as a key resource for resolving complex payroll issues, documenting various payroll calculations, and developing and implementing ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Process production payroll and manual off-cycle checks.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies regarding payroll, taxes, and reporting.
Complete payroll-related calculations for new hires, terminations, promotions, and other personnel changes impacting pay.
Perform reconciliation of payroll accounts and analysis of pay code-to-GL mapping.
Work with an external vendor (ADP) to prepare and file payroll-related tax reports, including quarterly and year-end tax filings.
Participate in payroll projects, system upgrades and implementations.
Document payroll processes and complex calculations, and identify opportunities for ongoing audits and improvements.
Respond to employee inquiries.
Additional Skills:
Provide expertise in lookback and overtime premium calculations, along with paycheck display.
Strong technical skills in ADP payroll software.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Experience:
5+ years performing all payroll functions
Compensation: Base Pay Range: $36.88 - $45.77
