Role Description As a people‑first leader, you will directly manage and develop a team of leads and associates in our fulfillment centers. Your focus will be on driving process improvement, maintaining a safe work environment, tracking operational performance across key metrics, fostering employee engagement on site, and owning the development of your team. You will also collaborate across departments and shifts to contribute to operational and cultural excellence. Your efforts will support ShipBob’s growth while ensuring sustainable, scalable operations and a superior client experience.

What You’ll Do

Manage, build, and develop a team of 30+ warehouse associates (Temp and FTE).

Review weekly work forecasts and identify productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives.

Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor, ensuring efficient shift operations while meeting all goals.

Own operational metric reporting, including VCPO, UPH, OPH (Batch, Labelling, Pick, Pack), on‑time receiving and shipping, merchant SLA’s and injury rate; identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.

Ensure teams are properly trained on processes and procedures, understand metrics and performance goals, and that their needs are addressed.

Develop Lead talent, providing necessary tools, training, and resources to meet standards.

Actively foster employee engagement by hosting activities, events, and programs that contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Review and approve associate timecards daily.

Serve as the point of contact for escalated issues, mitigating risk and resolving them quickly and effectively.

Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.

Supervise daily workflows to ensure products are handled and stored correctly, maintaining compliance with hygiene and contamination control standards.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

2+ years of people management and operational leadership experience in a high‑volume 3PL fulfillment environment; preferred experience in e‑commerce, retail, or manufacturing.

Ability to manage performance, deliver feedback, train, and develop talent for professional growth.

Solid computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerBI, and TMS systems.

Strong analytical skills with experience tracking and achieving KPIs.

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Comfortable navigating and managing ambiguity.

Hard‑working, detail‑oriented, and passionate about helping small businesses compete online.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and carrier partners.

Willingness to work rotating shifts and non‑traditional hours as needed.

Compensation Pay Range: $54,878 – $91,463 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus plan based on company performance.
