Area Manager, Fulfillment Operations (Second Shift)

Area Manager – Second Shift – Fort Worth, TX
As a member of the ShipBob Team, you will lead and develop a high-performance team of warehouse associates in our fulfillment center. You will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of ownership, and collaborate across functions to support ShipBob’s mission of enabling small businesses to compete online.
Responsibilities
Manage, build, and develop a team of 30+ warehouse associates (temp and FTE).
Review weekly work forecasts and identify productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives.
Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and ensure efficient shift operation while meeting all goals.
Own operational metric reporting (VCPO, UPH, OPH, on-time receiving, merchant SLA’s, injury rate) and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure teams are properly trained on processes, understand metrics, and receive coaching and accountability.
Develop Lead talent and provide tools, training, and resources to meet standards.
Actively foster employee engagement onsite through activities, events, and programs.
Review and approve associate timecards daily.
Serve as the point of contact for escalated issues, mitigating risk and resolving quickly.
Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to maintain a safe work environment.
Supervise daily workflows to ensure products are handled and stored correctly, complying with safety and quality procedures.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
2+ years of people management and operational leadership in a high-volume 3PL fulfillment environment.
Experience in e-commerce, retail, or manufacturing preferred.
Strong skills in performance management, feedback delivery, and talent development.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerBI, and TMS systems.
Great analytical skills and experience tracking KPIs.
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
Hardworking with a focus on learning and helping small businesses compete online.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and carrier partners.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and non-traditional hours as needed.
