Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic Level II is a journey level role responsible for supporting reliable plant operations by performing advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair activities across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Technicians at this level work more independently than Level I staff, handling a broader range of duties and moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision. This position helps maintain equipment performance, applies safety and food quality standards, uses CMMS systems to track work, and contributes to continuous improvement in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues. Conduct moderately complex preventive and predictive maintenance using external measuring tools. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently to minimize production downtime. Record activities and manage work orders in a CMMS. Provide technical guidance or instruction to less experienced staff. Qualifications
3 to 5 years of maintenance mechanic experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish). Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Mild knowledge of safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Basic knowledge of PLC systems preferred. Physical Requirements
Work within production timelines and under pressure. Availability for scheduled hours, including weekends. Stand, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods (10–12 hours per day as needed). Work in a refrigerated environment (32–36 °F). Lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day. Benefits
