Sweet Apparel Inc. is a fast-growing fast-fashion wholesale company based in New York. We design, produce, and distribute trend-driven juniors and kids apparel to retailers nationwide. Our environment is fast-paced, data-driven, creative, and highly collaborative. We are looking for a Merchandise Planner who can help optimize inventory levels and drive profitable growth.

The Merchandise Planner will oversee inventory planning, forecasting, allocation, and sales analysis for the juniors and kids apparel categories. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent Excel knowledge, and experience working with inventory or ERP systems. You will partner closely with the merchandising, production, and sales teams to ensure we have the right inventory at the right time.

Sales & Data Analysis

Analyze sell-in and sell-through performance by style, customer, and category

Create projections based on historical data, trends, and market insights

Prepare reports for management, merchandising, and sales teams

Systems & Tools

Work with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, dashboards)

Manage data within inventory or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, BlueCherry, Shopify, ApparelMagic — adjust if needed)

Ensure accurate SKU setup, costing, and allocation data

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Sales to understand customer demand

Work with Production to align purchase orders with projected needs

Communicate weekly inventory updates and risks to upper management

Required Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, or inventory management (preferably in apparel or wholesale)

Strong Excel skills — can perform pivot tables, advanced formulas, basic modeling

Experience with inventory management or ERP systems

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fast-fashion environment

Strong communication and organizational skills
