A global, industry‑leading manufacturer serving critical industrial and materials markets seeks to hire a

Maintenance Manager

to lead all mechanical maintenance and reliability functions at its facility in the Greater Portland, OR area. Reporting to the General Manager, this position carries responsibility for the safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operation of plant equipment and facilities while ensuring uptime, reliability, and environmental compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide hands‑on leadership of the plant maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability, operational readiness, and adherence to all safety standards.

Plan, schedule, and direct preventive and corrective maintenance programs while coordinating closely with production to minimize downtime.

Oversee mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and installation activities.

Manage spare parts inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships to maintain cost‑effective and timely availability of critical components.

Utilize the site’s maintenance management system to track work orders, document repairs, and analyze equipment performance trends.

Lead and support capital and facility projects from scope definition through installation, commissioning, and performance verification.

Monitor maintenance budgets, implement cost‑reduction initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices and asset reliability.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline strongly preferred.

6+ years of maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a supervisory capacity.

Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, hydraulics, welding, and basic electrical troubleshooting.

Experience managing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating contractors, and using computerized maintenance systems.

U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required due to regulatory compliance requirements.
