Overnight Maintenance Supervisor $90,000–$100,000—Villa Ridge, MO

Description The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and support the night shift maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability, safe operations, and timely completion of maintenance activities. This role acts as the primary escalation point for technicians while driving preventive maintenance, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, schedule, and oversee daily maintenance activities and work orders for assigned team members.

Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development to maintenance personnel.

Serve as the first responder for urgent or unplanned maintenance needs during the shift.

Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance tasks are completed on schedule to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Support maintenance planning through systems as SAP, including labor estimates, parts planning, and job documentation.

Monitor shift handoffs and address unresolved maintenance issues.

Maintain and manage spare parts, tools, and maintenance inventory in coordination with supply teams.

Troubleshoot and support equipment including PLCs, pumps, valves, conveyors, fillers, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and electrical components.

Perform and support welding, mechanical repairs, and electrical troubleshooting as needed.

Participate in root cause analysis to prevent repeat equipment failures.

Assist with capital projects and special maintenance initiatives.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, food safety, sanitation, and DFA operational standards.

Complete administrative responsibilities such as timecard review, performance feedback, evaluations, and employee development actions.

Operate independently and make sound decisions when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable.

Stay current on applicable mechanical and electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or technical certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in place of a technical degree.

At least 3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory maintenance role.

Background in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience enforcing safety standards and leading teams in regulated environments.

Certifications or licenses related to electrical, welding, boiler operations, refrigeration, compressed air, wastewater, or plumbing are a plus.

Strong hands‑on knowledge of plant and production equipment.

Solid understanding of preventive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance practices.

Proficient with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office tools.

Ability to lead, train, and motivate maintenance personnel.

Strong communication and decision‑making skills.

Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Comfortable driving continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.

Fluent in English (written and verbal).
