A large construction company is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to join their rapidly expanding team. This is a big firm yet very family- oriented with both a fun and professional culture. We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end close. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Process Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Support job cost tracking and project accounting activities. Assist with payroll entries and reconciliations. Prepare financial reports and analysis for management. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Support audits and provide documentation as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. 1–3 years of accounting experience (G/L exposure/knowledge required). Construction industry accounting experience preferred. Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles. Experience with construction accounting software (Sage 300, Viewpoint, etc.) a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Strong attention to detail, organization, and deadlines. Good communication and problem-solving skills. What We Offer
