Senior Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant with manufacturing industry experience to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost accounting, and compliance with accounting standards while supporting the company’s operational and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting principles, cost analysis, and financial reporting, with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Oversee AP/AR aging reports and assist in cash flow forecasting. Work with vendors and customers to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial transactions. Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring timely month‑end and year‑end closings. Oversee cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Collaborate with operations to analyze production costs, waste, and efficiency metrics. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with audits, including external financial audits and internal operational reviews. Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Analyze financial data to support management decision‑making and drive cost efficiencies. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial accuracy and reporting efficiency. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Experience with inventory accounting and variance analysis. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Base Pay Range
$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Seniority Level
