Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $110,000 to $130,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Perform key areas of the month‑end close process, including complex journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Prepare and review supporting schedules for inventory, COGS, fixed assets, payroll, and other major accounts.
Assist with consolidating multiple entities and preparing monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
Analyze variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods and explain key drivers to finance leadership.
Support accurate recording of manufacturing costs, including labor, overhead, and bill of materials (BOMs).
Requirements
Demonstrate strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the full general ledger close process.
Apply intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and SUMIFS.
Utilize ERP systems effectively and assist with system enhancements or new module implementations.
Maintain and improve documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Collaborate with FP&A and other departments on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analyses.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting experience as a plus.
Show experience with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement support.
Bring familiarity with food manufacturing, meat processing, or consumer packaged goods industries.
Exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
