Position Summary The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR operations, including performance management, talent acquisition, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and health & safety. This role uses sound judgment, maintains confidentiality, and designs strategies to align HR and safety goals with business needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the annual performance review and goal‑setting process for all employees.
Coach managers on performance expectations, feedback techniques, and improvement plans.
Assess training needs and implement development programs.
Manage full‑cycle recruitment for exempt, non‑exempt, and temporary positions.
Support career path planning and conduct exit interviews.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Administer competitive compensation programs.
Respond to employee questions regarding PTO, policies, performance, recruitment, and benefits.
Maintain HR database, records, HRIS data integrity, and prepare ad‑hoc reports.
Maintain personnel files, new‑hire forms, I‑9s, W‑4s, manuals, and other documents in compliance with regulations.
Draft offer letters, administer background and drug screens, and manage new‑hire documentation.
Oversee workplace safety initiatives and health & safety compliance.
Lead safety committee meetings and partner with management.
Foster a positive work environment through engagement programs, conflict resolution, and proactive communication.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience.
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
Strong problem‑solving and administrative skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Demonstrated commitment to learning and development.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Knowledge of HR best practices and labor/employment laws (NLRA, FMLA, Title VII, etc.).
Collaborative, service‑oriented mindset with cross‑functional interaction.
Adaptable to fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
HR certification is a plus.
Manufacturing experience is preferred.
