Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and onboard production, skilled trades, and administrative staff for manufacturing operations.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures for plant personnel.
  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and manufacturing-specific safety regulations.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of workers' compensation claims and actively promote a strong safety culture within the facility.
  • Support performance management processes, including annual reviews and performance improvement plans for manufacturing teams.
  • Process payroll inputs, administer benefits programs, and manage leave of absence requests for plant employees.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs for manufacturing personnel, including safety and operational training.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex employee relations issues, grievances, and conflict resolution in a production setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA) and experience with OSHA compliance and workers' compensation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit for a variety of manufacturing roles, including production, maintenance, and supervisory positions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • OSHA compliance knowledge or experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish).
  • Experience supporting a multi-shift or 24/7 manufacturing operation.
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
