Summary/Objective The Dispatch Coordinator serves as the liaison between dispatch and Russian speaking drivers, ensuring efficient communication and operation of MedaCare’s transportation services.
Job Description / Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the individual must:
Hold a high school diploma or GED.
Communicate clearly written and orally with agencies and clients.
Apply basic mathematical concepts to practical situations.
Proficient in personal computer skills: email, record keeping, database activity, word processing, spreadsheets; average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Competencies & Skills
Work quality – consistent achievement of desired outcomes with minimal errors.
Attendance – reliable presence at scheduled work times.
Communication – clarity and effectiveness in oral and written exchanges.
Attention to detail, speed and accuracy on data entry.
Team orientation, multitasking, and time‑management.
Willingness to learn new skills and technology.
Ability to work unsupervised and maintain interpersonal relationships.
Customer service and project management skills.
Duties
Daily communication with drivers, dispatch, partner agencies, and call center.
Maintain and update school trip information for agencies such as Mt Healthy, DPCR, Norwood, Assured Transportation, ACCEL.
Identify patterns of no‑shows and notify corresponding agencies.
Communicate with customers to reduce no‑shows.
Retrieve customer information and resolve logistical problems.
Enter vehicle work orders into Fleetio.
Run required reports.
Coordinate with Dispatch on vehicle maintenance schedules.
Answer calls during short staffing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of customer service experience.
Basic computer literacy in Word and Excel.
Knowledge of scanners, fax, and photocopy machines.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Other Information
Full‑time position, 40‑hour work week (Mon‑Fri).
Year‑round work.
