Base pay range $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities
Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front‑end and pharmacy.
Support pharmacy inventory management activities: receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
Champion On‑Shelf Availability, and be responsible for receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and all in‑store inventory processes.
Validate and ensure accuracy of planograms.
Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications that impact front‑end and pharmacy on‑hand balances and pricing.
Execute and maintain front‑end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, file claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
In designated stores, open and close the store in the absence of store management, including required systems start‑ups, cash handling, cashier responsibilities, and readiness of floor and stock room.
Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues as a leader on duty.
Coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes, including receiving, scanning, and posting deliveries.
Execute on‑sale and end‑to‑end processes for planogrammed departments and pharmacy, including disposals, vendor returns, and pricing activities.
Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities for all departments, stockroom, and pharmacy, and support physical inventory activities.
Assist in maintaining inventory records, receiving, posting, and organizing invoices, receipts, and return authorizations.
Support store cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves.
Cooperate with management and team members, communicate tasks, and report disciplinary issues and customer complaints.
Complete additional assigned activities and tasks as needed.
Training & Personal Development
Attend company‑based training and complete e‑learning modules, including safety training requirements.
Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license/certification as required by the state.
Basic Qualifications
Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal) or one year of prior retail work experience (external).
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
“Achieving expectations” rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only).
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask and manage execution.
Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate.
Preferred prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file.
