Base pay range $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities
Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.
Support pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns.
Champion On‑Shelf Availability and manage all in‑store inventory processes such as receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and planogram validation.
Review and coordinate the proper use of reports and system applications to ensure accurate front‑end and pharmacy on‑hand balances and pricing.
Maintain front‑end and pharmacy asset protection techniques, file claims for overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods.
Open and close the store as needed in the absence of store management, including system start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for business.
Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; when serving as the leader on duty, resolve customer issues and answer questions.
Execute and coach team members on warehouse and vendor inventory processes.
Scan deliveries and manage One Box receiving, including marking deliveries as received, contacting vendors for undelivered receipts, and opening tickets as needed.
Verify pharmacy shipments and post orders, including ABC prescription, OTC, secondary vendor, flu, and dropship orders.
Complete On‑Shelf Availability (OSA) end‑to‑end process, including DSD and planogrammed departments.
Execute pricing activities: price changes, markdowns, deletions, and regulatory pricing tasks.
Support front‑end and pharmacy ordering and inventory counts, maintaining accurate on‑hand quantities.
Ensure inventory compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
Assist in physical inventory preparation and support inventory day activities.
Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves.
Support package delivery activities and Pickup Program execution.
Record all sales on the POS, handle returns, voids, refunds, and cash drops.
Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Attend company‑based trainings and complete all e‑learning modules, including safety training.
Obtain and maintain a valid pharmacy license/certification as required by the state.
Communications
Serve as a liaison between management and team members by coaching and developing capabilities; communicate tasks and report disciplinary issues or customer complaints.
Basic Qualifications
Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
“Achieving expectations” rating on last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months (internal candidates only).
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask and manage execution.
Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, designated hitter, or customer service associate.
Prior work experience with Walgreens, with an evaluation on file.
