Medical Practice Patient Representative – Orthopedics – Vassar Brothers Medical Center
Join Nuvance Health as a Medical Practice Patient Representative for the Orthopedics department at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. This full‑time position (Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm) is offered with an external hire sign‑on bonus of $500.
Summary Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates patient care activities for the medical practice.
Responsibilities
Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival.
Ensures accuracy of patient information, including demographics and insurance.
Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and ensures accurate communication verbally and via the EMR system.
Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
Collects co‑pays and reconciles money for deposit.
Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Maintains and models the organization’s values.
Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
Performs other duties as required.
Other Information Ability to travel between practices as needed.
Salary Range $18.13–$34.50 per hour.
