Job Summary The Estimator at B&A Property Maintenance plays a key role in developing accurate, competitive bids for large‑scale commercial landscape maintenance and enhancement projects. This position ensures every estimate meets the company’s standards for speed, accuracy, and excellence, while reflecting B&A’s core values of Honor, Integrity, Progress, and Excellence. The Estimator works closely with the Sales and Operations teams to prepare proposals that strengthen client relationships, drive profitability, and support long‑term company growth.

Technical Job Duties

Perform detailed cost estimates for all services using company software tools.

Read and interpret construction drawings, landscape plans, and specifications.

Gather labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to prepare comprehensive bids.

Analyze historical data and job costs to continually improve the speed and accuracy of estimating and improving annual contract renewals.

Collaborate with Sales Representatives, Project Managers, and Field Supervisors to validate scope, production rates, and logistics as needed.

Assist the Sales team in preparing professional, high‑value bid proposals.

Maintain accurate project data and timelines within B&A’s project management software to ensure timely proposal delivery.

Participate in post‑project reviews to assess accuracy and support continuous improvement.

Assist Operations with property mapping and data analysis for client sites.

Uphold B&A’s safety standards, communication protocols, and core values throughout all estimating activities.

Required Qualifications

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial landscaping, construction estimating, site‑work estimation, or related industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and general computer literacy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Valid driver’s license and availability for regional travel (Central & Northwest Arkansas) as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in reading plans and performing take‑offs for landscape and irrigation systems.

Degree or coursework in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field.

Familiarity with multi‑site commercial contracts and service‑based pricing models.

Experience using cost‑tracking databases, CRM systems, or mapping platforms (e.g., Aspire, LMN, Property Intel).

Knowledge of irrigation, hardscape, landscape design and vegetation management estimating best practices.

Proven ability to deliver estimates that balance profitability, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
