Position Overview:
The Project Estimator is responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for various projects, including data centers, commercial and industrial construction, civil grading, and utilities. This role requires a detail‑oriented individual who can analyze project specifications and collaborate with project managers to ensure that estimates align with project goals and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements.
Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and HCSS to create and manage estimates.
Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Prepare and present detailed estimates to clients and stakeholders.
Monitor project budgets and adjust estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure competitiveness in estimates.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project estimating, preferably in data center, commercial, and industrial projects.
Proficiency in estimating software, particularly HCSS, and Bluebeam preferred.
Strong understanding of civil grading, utilities, and sitework practices.
