Shape the night shift that keeps production movingJoin a leading Automotive Components Manufacturer in Monroe, OH as a full-time, permanent Industrial Automation Controls Technician. You’ll work 3rd shift (10:30pm–7:00am), earning $35–$40 per hour with a full benefits package and strong long-term career potential.
Kick off the shift by reviewing in-process dashboards and prioritizing any controls or electrical issues impacting throughput, cost, or safety.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and controls malfunctions, then implement lasting fixes.
Tune process control parameters for both new launches and existing products to achieve optimal results.
Program and modify PLC logic and control networks (primarily Allen Bradley) as conditions change.
Draft or update clear SOPs/work instructions so teammates can safely and consistently operate and maintain equipment.
Apply TPS principles and coach others to strengthen problem-solving and standard work.
Coordinate contractors and vendors; conduct capacity studies; and research best-fit equipment with cost justifications.
Collaborate across departments and, when needed, visit customers, suppliers, or vendors to analyze defects and drive corrective actions.
Support site-wide process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives focused on control systems.
Model reliable attendance and punctuality, and take on other duties as required.
What you bring
Associate degree (two-year college/technical school) or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
2 years of hands‑on technical/engineering problem‑solving experience.
Practical background with mechanical and electrical systems plus Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting/programming.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC drawings.
Comfort interpreting safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedures, and equipment manuals.
Capable of writing routine reports/correspondence and presenting information to teams and other groups.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
Willingness to obtain required licenses for powered industrial trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and similar equipment used to access/repair machinery.
