We are currently looking for an HR Generalist to support the full range of human resources for a growing company. This role works closely with leadership and employees to ensure HR practices are practical, compliant, and aligned with the firm’s culture and business objectives. This position is hands‑on and best suited for someone who enjoys balancing employee support with operational responsibility. What You’ll Be Doing
Act as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, workplace issues, and day‑to‑day HR questions
Coordinate hiring efforts across multiple departments, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and onboarding logistics
Partner with managers on performance discussions, documentation, and employee development needs
Manage employee lifecycle processes such as new hire onboarding, role changes, leaves, and offboarding
Oversee the accuracy and maintenance of personnel records, ensuring readiness for audits and regulatory reviews
Support benefits administration, including employee inquiries, enrollments, and coordination with vendors
Assist with compliance‑related requirements common in financial services, such as background checks, licensing documentation, and training tracking
Contribute to compensation planning activities, including salary reviews and incentive administration
Support internal reviews, risk assessments, and regulatory examinations related to HR practices
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and help implement practical solutions
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
Several years of generalist HR experience, ideally within financial services or another highly regulated industry
Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
Comfort working with confidential information and sensitive employee matters
Experience working with HR systems and standard business software
HR certification is a plus, but not required
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends on a wide array of factors including the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location, and other business and organizational needs. The salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
