The North America Quality organization is currently seeking a Warranty Engineer to join the Field Quality & Control Tower team (FQCT) at the Headquarters & Technical Center (QEC) Auburn Hills, MI. FQCT Engineer is responsible for assisting in the administration and/or coordination of multiple vehicle systems including compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, agendas, minutes and correspondence. The incumbent will report to a team lead or supervisor/manager and should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for automotive and powertrain development. Opportunities are available in Propulsion System Group in the areas HVAC, Cooling, Intake & Exhaust.

Responsibilities

Facilitating cross functional project meetings, compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence; identifying and analyzing system requirements, and defining project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders.

Lead the resolution of warranty related issues - accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress.

Lead triage – warranty claims review, sorting claims and bucketing, review and call vehicles at dealers, support Stellantis/Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.

Establish & validate containment & permanent actions at Stellantis / Supplier.

Plants by physically reviewing the product/process changes, internal metrics and control plan update.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from accredited University.

5+ years of experience in Product Engineering.

2+ years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.

Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills.

Well-rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and able to manage unionized workforce.

Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Project.

Working knowledge of Teamcenter.

Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's in Engineering.

Shainin RedX Black Belt.

Green Belt / Kepner Tregoe.

Design for Six Sigma.

Project Management.
