Job Summary Provide career and professional‑development guidance to Health Sciences students and recent graduates, including undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Partner with employers, faculty, and campus services to facilitate comprehensive career‑development programs and initiatives that support Augusta University and AUMC students.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities:

Deliver personalized career counseling and support services, coordinate employer engagement, and facilitate career‑development initiatives across the Health Sciences campus.

Reporting & Documentation Management:

Document student appointments, collect monthly employment data, generate Career Services reports, and collaborate with the Director for data collection.

Technology:

Maintain career‑exploration software, databases, and official reporting systems (Banner, PeopleSoft, Institutional Research). Ensure data integrity and generate reports for benchmarking.

Faculty Development:

Coordinate outreach, programming, workshops, and seminars tailored to student needs and faculty requests.

Program Development & Execution:

Design and execute career‑development events (Career Exploration Programs, job fairs, etiquette dinners, graduate‑school planning, etc.). Lead department‑wide programs annually and manage marketing efforts.

Student Engagement & Development:

Address student development issues, educate on available tools/services, and promote Career Services programs.

Employer Development & Relations:

Build and nurture employer partnerships, facilitate recruitment initiatives, maintain benefits of employer relationship, and represent Career Services at corporate and campus events.

Professionalism, Teamwork, Leadership:

Maintain professional affiliations, model professional conduct, and consistently demonstrate excellent customer service and communication.

Other Duties:

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in higher education, counseling, or an employment‑services role.

Experience in career services preferred.

Technical proficiency with web‑based career software and database/spreadsheet tools.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related databases.

Knowledge of career counseling and student development theories.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.

Outgoing, engaging demeanor to foster student rapport.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.

Strong problem‑solving, judgment‑making, and relationship‑building abilities.

Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift: Daytime (Monday‑Friday). Salary commensurate with qualifications, within the established range. Benefits: Health, dental, and life insurance; retirement; paid vacation, sick leave, holidays; tuition assistance for eligible employees.
