About the Company
A New York–based alternative Credit Fund (≈8‑10bn AUM) is seeking an Associate/VP to join its lean Fund Accounting & Finance team. The firm invests across asset‑based and structured credit, with open‑ended funds, master‑feeder structures, and numerous SPVs. This is a high‑visibility role supporting complex credit strategies, partnering with senior leadership and Investor Relations, and contributing to ongoing systems and process enhancements. Hybrid 3 days in office. Base Pay Range
$150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Role & Key Responsibilities
Preparing and reviewing monthly NAV and performance estimates for funds and SPVs. Managing the month‑end close with administrators: reviewing financials, allocations, investor capital statements, and support schedules. Reconciling P&L and custody data between internal systems and the administrator; resolving breaks. Reconciling administrator results to internal projections (portfolio, expenses, management/performance fees). Supporting year‑end audits and SOC 1 testing with administrators and external auditors. Partnering with Investor Relations on subs/reds, performance estimates, investor statements, and ad‑hoc requests. Providing performance and financial analytics to senior management and IR. Assisting with regulatory filings (e.g., Form PF, Form PQR and similar). Supporting management company activity (invoices, management fee processing, GL entries). Providing schedules for tax reporting and participating in projects (system enhancements, data migrations, new fund/SPV launches). Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. Open‑Ended Fund Experience* — Monthly Reporting. 5–10 years of experience in public accounting (serving hedge/credit funds) and/or in‑house at a hedge/credit/structured credit fund. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP investment company accounting and experience with master‑feeder funds and SPVs. Product familiarity with fixed income, structured products/ABS, and derivatives strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills; experience with portfolio accounting systems and/or system migration is a plus. Hybrid 3 days in office. Seniority Level
