Overview Family Law Attorney – Matrimonial & Family Law

Join a dynamic, boutique law firm in Long Island specializing in family and business law. We are looking for a passionate attorney to handle matrimonial cases and contribute to a collaborative, award‑winning team.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in matrimonial and family law matters, including divorce, custody, alimony, and property division.

Prepare and argue motions, motions for conservation of assets, and other pleadings.

Conduct client consultations, negotiate settlements, and draft legal documents.

Appear in court, grand jury, and mediation.

Work closely with attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Active license to practice in New York State.

1–2+ years of experience in matrimonial and family law.

Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.

Experience preparing and arguing motions, and comfortable in court.

Proficiency with civil practice is a bonus but not required.

Must be willing to work on‑site at the Long Island office.
