Associate Attorney
Winget, Spadafora & Schwartzberg, LLP seeks an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join its headquarters in New York City. NY bar admission required and NJ admission a plus for diverse practice including professional liability, healthcare professional defense, securities litigation, labor & employment, and insurance broker liability. We are looking for candidates with experience in civil litigation and a demonstrated ability to independently move cases toward resolution or trial. Base Pay Range
$100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Additional Compensation
Annual Bonus Key Responsibilities
Efficient management of multiple cases. Timely preparation of pleadings, motions and discovery. Participate in mediations, hearings and depositions as required. Evaluation of findings and development of strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases. On‑time completion of reports/projects, in adherence to partner and client needs/guidelines. Accurate and timely recording of billable hours, in adherence to client guidelines and Firm policy. Position Skills and Qualifications
Ability to comprehend complex matters, identify core issues, and understand applicable legal principles. Possess keen eye for detail, coupled with exceptional research and proofreading abilities. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Effective written and oral communication skills. Strong research and legal writing skills. Associate Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school. 2-5 years of civil litigation experience. NY bar admission required, NJ bar admission preferred. Benefits
