Summary The
Team Ops Lead
produces the highest quality and most consistent products in the industry by performing all duties meticulously. The role includes leading kitchen and/or packaging support teams when a Supervisor is not present, opening and closing the kitchen, and assisting with staff training. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assigning duties, ensuring adherence to the daily schedule and cooking plan, monitoring team attendance, tardiness and time‑off, and reporting to the Supervisor.
Monitoring team performance and ensuring all duties are performed efficiently.
Ensuring quotas are met by observing Packaging Support team members and providing training/coaching.
Assisting Production Supervisors and Managers in training and coaching Production Support employees on proper procedures, techniques and compliance protocols.
Reporting and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the shift to the Supervisor/Plant Manager.
Accurately performing opening and closing duties.
Ensuring proper storage of all facility consumables and products, and storing food products in compliance with safety practices.
Maintaining high‑quality standards during shifts, including constant QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced with regard to weights, appearance of product and flavor profile.
Maintaining a clean and organized workplace, and ensuring that Production Support teams understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
Performing quality inspections on products as assigned and minimizing waste where possible.
Making recommendations to management regarding personnel evaluation and training of the kitchen team.
Preparing, mixing, cooking, producing, pouring, depositing, pulling, and storing all facility consumables and products.
Accurately preparing ingredients, workstations and equipment for production, including performing regular checks to ensure equipment is functioning correctly.
Correctly infusing by thoroughly scraping, turning, lifting and rotating for the appropriate time.
Effectively communicating information and responding to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company.
Ensuring compliance with all company policies and state regulations, including health and safety standards.
Assisting in accurately reading, recording and communicating all kitchen data, counts, measurements and weights.
Communicating discrepancies in quantities or quality of product.
Maintaining high‑quality standards during shifts, including constant QA/QC of all products being prepped and produced.
Performing basic visual quality inspections on products.
Communicating quality or safety discrepancies to Supervisors, Managers and/or Directors.
Ensuring a safe working environment.
Reviewing and communicating daily on all safety related topics of discussion.
Effectively managing your time and that of your team to stay on schedule to meet daily production expectations.
Effectively communicating information and responding to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company.
Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of directly related experience and/or training in a food production or kitchen environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of lead or supervisory experience. Must have experience and familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations. Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must obtain all applicable state‑required permits, licenses, and certifications.
Oregon: Active Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) Marijuana Worker Permit.
California: Ability to pass a criminal background check or a Live Scan in the State of California.
Arizona: Ability to clear a criminal background check and obtain a Facility and/or Dispensary Agent Card.
Nevada: Active Nevada Cannabis Production / Distribution Agent Card required.
Colorado: Active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Marijuana Worker’s Permit required.
ServSafe Food Handler’s Card preferred.
Must be willing to submit to a background check.
State regulations require that all applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written.
Benefits As a non‑exempt employee, you’ll receive a competitive hourly rate of $26‑$30/hr paid biweekly, overtime, 11 paid holidays, 80 hours of PTO, 401k, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
