Project Manager
Build a multi‑project portfolio that drives operational efficiency and supports long‑term business goals. This role partners with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high‑impact projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
Responsibilities
Lead cross‑functional project teams utilizing internal and external resources to implement projects and ensure goals are being met by prioritizing, monitoring and executing workflows
Guide large projects through the Product Development Process, following a phase‑gate project management approach
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Design, Engineering, Operations, and Executive Leadership
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
Manage project timelines, Gantt charts, deliverables, budgets (CapEx & OpEx), and dependencies
Facilitate effective meetings and milestone presentations to ensure alignment and progress
Deliver project status updates and steering committee reports highlighting progress, risks, and key decisions
Drive strategic process improvements and foster interdepartmental collaboration
Support resource planning and workload management based on long‑range product plans
Contribute to PMO practices by applying established procedures, tools, and templates
Propose and administrate overall and individual project budgets, including both capitalizable and non‑capitalizable expenses (CapEx & OpEx) in alignment with the company’s overall financial plan
Help facilitate financial and technical justification for product selection and developmental projects
Coordinate all phases of the product development life cycle through introduction to market by guiding handoff between departments
Accountable for delivering agreed‑upon business‑case metrics such as milestone dates, product launch dates, material cost, and development budgets
Assist in tracking and management of individual and departmental workloads to effectively utilize staff based on long‑range product plan commitments
Effectively engage with and manage external design and tooling vendor relationships, including procurement of quotes based on well‑defined scope of work documents and managing corresponding project spend
Proactively escalates risks, issues, and changes, offering solutions and facilitating joint problem‑solving
Maintain transparent and concise project documentation and communication
Skills & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; PMP certification preferred
5+ years of project management experience, ideally in a manufacturing or product development environment
Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies
Ability to work with complex cross‑functional teams
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to resolve conflict and drive accountability through proactive leadership
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to learn to use project management software such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, and MS Project
The individual must have the ability to adapt and work in a constantly changing environment
Location & Salary South Bend, IN $100,000.00‑$120,000.00
