Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and ensure material availability.
Oversee the planning and scheduling of materials to meet production demands and customer orders using MRP/ERP systems.
Manage supplier relationships and procurement processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
Lead and develop the materials team, including purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse personnel.
Monitor and analyze key materials metrics such as inventory turns, on-time delivery, and material costs to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering departments to align material plans with overall business objectives.
Implement and maintain efficient material handling and storage processes within the manufacturing facility.
Recommended Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory control, demand planning, and procurement.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills, with proven ability to optimize inventory levels and support S&OP processes.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including vendor management, negotiation, and team development.
Bonus Qualifications
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP APO, Kinaxis RapidResponse).
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for supply chain analytics.
