Location: Dallas, Texas. Work arrangement: contract position, work from home with site visits in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Pay: $40.00–$55.00 per hour.
Description TEKsystems seeks an experienced Audio/Video Service Engineer to support existing customers in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The candidate will troubleshoot and resolve AV issues in boardrooms and conference rooms, working remotely from home and on site as needed.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with audio‑video equipment.
Provide in‑person service and support for executive boardrooms and conference centers.
Conduct preventative maintenance testing and site surveys for service agreements.
Write concise service reports and system site surveys.
Manage multiple service projects and lead/mentor junior field‑service technicians.
Qualifications
Minimum 7–8 years of AV integration and/or field‑service experience.
Proficiency with Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Extron, Cisco, Poly, Logitech, Luxul, Netgear, and video‑wall manufacturers (Planar, Unilumen, LG, Samsung, Barco).
Experience testing with a multimeter and troubleshooting legacy systems.
Intermediate to advanced AV networking skills; ability to cabling, crimp, solder, and understand signal flow and low‑voltage electrical concepts.
Strong customer‑interfacing and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record; ability to lift over 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
Education & Certifications
A two‑year diploma from a technical college or equivalent experience.
CTS certification highly preferred.
Experience Minimum 3 years of field‑service experience. Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects.
