Process Engineer | Whitehall, MI Salary Range:

$71,000 - $105,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

Troubleshoot process‑related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production targets.

Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes or modifications to existing ones, including equipment selection and commissioning.

Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flow diagrams.

Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and conduct statistical analysis to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Production, Quality, R&D) to achieve operational goals and resolve technical challenges.

Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in process optimization, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex process issues and implement effective solutions.

Strong understanding of P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and manufacturing safety standards.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, Aspen HYSYS)

Experience implementing Industry 4.0 technologies or advanced automation solutions

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Familiarity with advanced statistical software for process optimization (e.g., JMP, Minitab)
