Position Overview The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs related to mechanical systems in various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical estimation and will work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure that all estimates meet project specifications and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans and specifications to determine mechanical system requirements
Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems including HVAC and plumbing
Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project budgets and timelines
Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to prepare comprehensive estimates
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimation
Provide input on value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures
Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for accurate pricing and project insights
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations
Qualifications
3+ years Mechanical Estimating experience
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing
Experience in healthcare construction projects, such as medical centers or hospitals required
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively
Salary $90-105k base
