Position Overview: The Estimator will be responsible for assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates for HVAC systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in HVAC estimating, procurement, and a strong understanding of the construction process to ensure accurate and timely project bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities Review project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements and scope of work. Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems, including labor, materials, and overhead. Conduct market research to obtain pricing for materials and subcontractor services. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project details and requirements. Evaluate subcontractor bids and make recommendations for procurement decisions. Maintain organized records of estimates, including documentation of costs and methodologies used. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Proven experience in HVAC estimating within commercial and industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of construction processes and building codes. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
