Division: Nucor Steel Utah

Location: Plymouth, UT, United States

Responsibilities

Participating in safety and housekeeping activities.

Assisting with process and product development.

Troubleshooting upset conditions.

Using statistical methods and data analysis to guide decision making.

Leading safety, quality & efficiency improvement efforts.

Leading team member training efforts.

Working closely with operation and maintenance teams to ensure optimal melt shop performance.

Base schedule is Mon‑Fri dayshift; nights and weekend work may be required to support the melt shop team.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, metallurgical, or comparable engineering field

Preferred Qualifications

Strong statistical knowledge and experience

Six sigma or similar problem-solving experience

Prior QMOS experience

Melt Shop operational experience

Understanding of AMI Smart Furnace application
