What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Serve as the subject matter expert for US payroll compliance, including federal, state, and local regulations
Lead internal payroll compliance audits, identifying issues and overseeing their resolution
Support the design and implementation of automated payroll processes and system controls for the US
Collaborate with Payroll Operations, Product, Tax, and Legal teams to ensure compliance in payroll logic and workflows
Monitor changes in US payroll legislation and ensure compliance is reflected in operations and products
What is Required (Qualifications):
Extensive knowledge of US payroll compliance, including federal and multi-state taxation, wage and hour laws
Proven experience managing US payroll operations or compliance programs in a complex or multi-entity environment
Strong understanding of audit processes, system controls, and regulatory reporting
Ability to translate legislation into practical, compliant processes
Strong communication and documentation skills, capable of explaining compliance topics clearly
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with payroll system configuration or logic mapping
Familiarity with federal and state labor law audits or investigations
Background in payroll compliance within a technology-driven or SaaS business
