What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Serve as the subject matter expert for US payroll compliance, including federal, state, and local regulations

Lead internal payroll compliance audits to identify and resolve issues

Support the design and implementation of automated payroll processes and controls

Partner with various teams to ensure compliance in US payroll logic and workflows

Monitor changes in payroll legislation and implement necessary operational adjustments

What is Required (Qualifications)

Extensive knowledge of US payroll compliance, including federal and multi-state taxation

Proven experience managing US payroll operations or compliance programs in a complex environment

Strong understanding of audit processes, system controls, and regulatory reporting

Ability to translate legislation into compliant operational processes

Strong communication and documentation skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience with payroll system configuration or logic mapping

Familiarity with federal and state labor law audits or investigations

Background in payroll compliance within a technology-driven or SaaS business
