Job Description & Duties Under the direction of a Staff Services Manager I, in the Division of Planning and Modal Program Management (PM2), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs a wide variety of analytical and fact‑finding tasks related to resource management. The incumbent participates in the development and implementation of automated resource and budgeting processes, produces and provides analysis on various fiscal reports and projections, and monitors legislation that might impact the Districts/Divisions. The incumbent troubleshoots statewide budget problems throughout the Planning and Modal Divisions and Districts, provides recommendations to management to ensure the office continues the proper budgetary course, and takes a proactive role in resolving issues and correcting discrepancies. The incumbent administers budget tasks associated with receipt and management of program funding, coordinates development of budget documents, assists in tracking and monitoring of the PMP Task‑Based Management, and completes special budget assignments.

Eligibility & Qualifications Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst/Staff Services Analyst exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
