Role Summary The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and support of multi‑location network systems, applications, and associated services. This role ensures that network server and client systems meet user requirements and support the proper operation of business. Essential duties include application support, upgrades, system administration, virtualization administration, file services, backup administration, e‑mail management, security, network peripherals, and technical documentation. The position also provides architecture and support to client technologies, application support, and development teams along with external vendor resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, configure, test, and support multi‑location network systems and applications.
Administer virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V) and container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes).
Manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune) and security/compliance features.
Operate and secure network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, routing, switching) using Cisco Meraki and Huawei devices.
Backup administration and e‑mail management.
Monitor security and SIEM tools (Splunk, SCCM, Orion/SolarWinds, Wireshark/tcpdump).
Provide architecture and support to client technologies and vendor resources.
Required Skills
Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, routing, switching).
Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune).
Virtualization and cloud skills (VMware, Hyper‑V, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/Azure).
Identity and access management (Okta, Azure AD, Active Directory SSO/IAM, MFA).
Security monitoring tools (Splunk, SCCM, Orion/SolarWinds).
Problem‑solving, clear communication, and collaboration across teams.
Work Flexibility

Estimated travel of 10‑25%.
Flexibility in daily schedule, including early morning meetings with Europe, evenings for the West Coast, and weekends for events and travel.
Qualifications
7‑10 years as a System Administrator or Network Administrator in a mid‑ to large‑sized or enterprise environment.
7‑10 years of experience architecting, implementing, managing, and monitoring core IT infrastructure and services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
