LHH is partnering with a respected legal organization to identify an experienced

Corporate Attorney

for a part-time, contract opportunity. This role supports a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including domestic and international business operations. The position offers flexibility, meaningful work, and the chance to collaborate with sophisticated clients across industries.

Location: Durham, NC

What You’ll Do

Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of corporate and commercial agreements, including distribution, licensing, joint ventures, franchise arrangements, and mergers & acquisitions

Provide transactional support on Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) matters, particularly from an M&A perspective

Advise U.S. and international clients on cross-border business activities, market entry strategies, and ongoing commercial relationships

Coordinate transaction workflows, regulatory filings, and closing deliverables

Deliver clear, practical legal guidance aligned with business objectives while maintaining responsive client communication

Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

3–5 years of experience handling corporate transactional matters (e.g., M&A, corporate governance, or related work)

Strong contract drafting skills and comfort working directly with clients

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting ESOP transactions

Proficiency in a second language (German is a plus; other languages welcomed)

Work Schedule & Flexibility

Part-time commitment of approximately 20–25 hours per week

Hybrid work environment with some in-office presence as needed to support client or transaction requirements
