Sewer Equipment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in overseeing financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the company's management.
Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
We are looking for employees who can:
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
Interact professionally with other employees and customers
Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
Responsibilities:
Intercompany accounting
Monthly and Quarterly ledger closings
Annual budget preparation and monthly variance analysis
Prepare and file various tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and property tax filings
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and depreciation schedules
Create and update monthly Plant Book reports for upper management to support business decision-making
Ad hoc reporting
Assist with financial, bank, tax, and generally liability audits
Cross train with Controller and Director of Finance functions
Train, mentor, and help other accounting functions such as accounts receivable and accounts payable
Aid in the preparation of internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system
Reconcile all asset and liability accounts monthly/quarterly/annually
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Essential Functions:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education and Experience Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or related industry
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
