Position Summary The Payroll and Treasury Accountant ensures accurate and timely processing of all U.S. payrolls and 401(k) administration. Responsibilities include managing payroll data compliance, supporting treasury functions such as cash management and bank reconciliations, and performing miscellaneous journal entries. The role involves resolving payroll inquiries, implementing process improvements, and staying updated on regulatory changes. The incumbent works closely with HR, Finance, and External Auditors.
Position Responsibilities Payroll
Handle weekly and semi‑monthly payroll processing for U.S. based entities using Ceridian (Dayforce).
Modify and generate reports, and manage payroll inquiries.
Manage fringe benefits and labor accruals.
Severance reconciliation.
Treasury Support
Set up and process wire payments.
Handle daily bank transactions, reconciliations, and month‑end entries.
Manage cash journal entries and print checks.
Compliance
Assist with 401(k) audit.
Calculate and file non‑income based taxes, including the Washington Excise Tax and Philadelphia Tax.
Month End Activities
Overhead allocation, inventory adjustments, and various journal entries.
Real estate, property tax entries.
Scrap and rework accounting, and annual roll‑forward entries.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in payroll accounting or finance.
Strong understanding of payroll processes and accounting principles.
Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, Paycom) and accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive payroll information.
