The Human Resources Generalist provides day‑to‑day human resources support across the employee lifecycle, with key responsibilities in employee relations, onboarding, multi‑state compliance (high focus on New York State employment law), talent acquisition support, and HR reporting. This role partners closely with managers, employees, hiring managers, and the broader HR team to ensure consistent, compliant, and high‑quality employee experience. Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Employee Experience

Own and manage the full new‑hire onboarding process, ensuring an efficient, welcoming, and compliant experience. Coordinate new‑hire paperwork, background checks, I‑9 verification, and HRIS entry. Lead new‑hire orientation sessions and provide ongoing support during the onboarding period. Collaborate with hiring managers to develop onboarding schedules and ensure readiness for first‑day activities. Support employee engagement initiatives and assist with offboarding procedures. Talent Acquisition Support

Partner with the talent acquisition team and hiring managers to facilitate end‑to‑end recruitment activities. Multi‑State HR Compliance

Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, particularly New York State employment regulations (e.g., wage & hour, pay transparency, anti‑harassment, leave laws). Monitor regulatory changes and support updates to policies, procedures, and employee communication. Assist with compliance reporting, training administration, and HR audits. HR Reporting & Systems

Compile, analyze, and maintain routine HR reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, onboarding metrics). Ensure data accuracy and consistency within the HRIS and other HR systems. Support ongoing data audits, metric tracking, and process improvements related to reporting. General HR Support

Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries while delivering a consistent, high‑service (“white‑glove”) experience. Assist with benefits support, employee relations coordination, and policy interpretation. Contribute to HR projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts as assigned. Serve as Compliance SME and Leave Administrator for assigned business units. Contribute, support and influence employee culture and engagement. Assist with basic payroll support inquiries while partnering with Finance on continuous improvement and system management. Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, providing clarity on SOPs, communication, and employee relations. Qualifications And Experience

5+ years of HR experience, including exposure to multi‑state HR operations. Working knowledge of New York State employment law required. Experience with onboarding and general HR operations; familiarity with talent acquisition processes. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (Paychex, Workday, ADP preferred). HR experience within a healthcare organization is a plus. Education/Certifications

High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. Travel Requirements

5% travel. Physical Requirements
