Engagement
Confidential Client Matter (via Swed Fintech AB affiliate)
Location
New York-based | Remote permitted (court appearances, depositions, and hearings as required in SDNY)
Overview
We are seeking a
highly capable New York–admitted litigation attorney
to support a confidential, high-stakes securities and commercial fraud matter pending in or moving toward the Southern District of New York.
This role is

Pedigree is irrelevant.
Execution is everything.

Take primary responsibility for: complex discovery strategy, depositions (fact and expert)
Provide sharp, pragmatic input on: pleadings, motions to dismiss, opposition briefs
Ensure procedural precision with court communications, filings, and deadlines
Coordinate efficiently with an in‑house research and drafting team (you are not doing junior work)
Required Qualifications
JD and
active admission to SDNY
Demonstrated experience in one or more of: complex breach of contract, RICO or RICO‑adjacent theories
Extensive hands‑on discovery experience, including taking and defending depositions
Clear understanding of
what survives a motion to dismiss
in SDNY and why
No current or recent conflicts with
prospective institutional financial defendants
(to be vetted)
Ability to work efficiently and intelligently with: modern legal research tools, AI‑assisted drafting and analysis (judgment still required)
Engagement Terms
Compensation structured as: competitive hourly or defined‑scope fee arrangement
This is a serious litigation engagement, not a speculative or vanity role
Why This Role
Substantive responsibility without bureaucracy
Strategic influence in a meaningful, contested matter
Clean structure, decisive client, and no tolerance for inefficiency
Confidentiality will be maintained throughout the process.
