Cleaning Supervisor at ISS Facility Services - North America
Hourly Wage $19.00 per hour – $19.50 per hour
Work Hours Mon – Fri + Weekends, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
Key Purpose The Cleaning Supervisor assists the Janitorial Manager in the completion of managerial duties and directly oversees custodians on three shifts in a manufacturing environment. This position serves as the onsite supervisor for all custodial/janitorial functions at the site.

Ideal Candidate Experience
Five years of experience in a janitorial position with a Facilities Maintenance/Janitorial Services firm
At least one year of previous supervisory experience
Provide hands‑on oversight and direction to a custodial team of up to five members per shift
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
Clear all background checks and security requirements for facility clearance
Valid driver’s license
Effective communication with subordinates, customer representatives, and upper management
Proficient at performing administrative tasks: scheduling, work completion, etc.
Demonstrate good judgment and conduct oneself professionally
Previous experience in a union environment preferred
Available to work weekends and holidays if needed
Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
Key Accountabilities
Provide direction and oversight of union custodial workforce at assigned site
Schedule employees and work per site needs
Follow all safety rules and guidelines
Direct special cleaning projects
Communicate with tenant/customers professionally
Monitor quality levels and retrain staff as needed to maintain customer service quality
Inventory supplies/materials on hand as directed by Janitorial Manager
Review accurate time‑keeping records and process payroll
Discipline employees in partnership with Janitorial Manager
Other duties as assigned
Ensure completion of janitorial work and associated administrative tasks (progress reports, incident reports, safety reports, staffing and payroll reports, etc.)
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts
Exposure to high, precarious places
Exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals
Outside weather conditions
Risk of electrical shock and vibration
Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
Noise level frequently loud
