Job Overview
STV is looking for an Assistant Manager‑Education for our PM/CM group in New Jersey. STV currently seeking dynamic individuals for K‑12 and Higher Education opportunities in New Jersey for
Construction Manager(s), Project Manager(s) and Assistant Project Manager(s) . Key responsibilities will include organizing cross‑functional activities, coordination of project work efforts for the completion of the project (i.e., project deliverables, schedule and budget).
Responsibilities
Organizing cross‑functional activities and coordinating project work efforts for project completion, deliverables, schedule and budget.
Managing and directing development of proposals, project initiation, execution/control, and closeout for construction projects.
Participating in project‑specific marketing, proposal preparation and presentations for successful project selection.
Planning the complete project execution and developing the project manual.
Working with Senior Managers to schedule and monitor manpower requirements against the project budget/spending performance.
Managing activities related to project scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, coordination, manpower, discipline requirements, resources, procurement, and risk elements required to optimize client service, quality, and fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of experience with knowledge of K‑12 or Higher Education construction starting from $20M.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Capable of taking direction and assisting senior members of the team in managing projects from the procurement phase through construction closeout.
Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office suite of products and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with BIM, P6, Procore, or E‑builder a plus; LEED, DBIA, PMP, CCM, RA, PE a plus but not required.
Formal training in project management is preferred; experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills is required.
Candidate should be able to read and review project contract documents to determine scope and deliverables.
Compensation Range $71,981.92 - $95,975.90
