Key Job Responsibilities
Vendor and team communication including data entry, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving inquiries from cross‑functional teams.
Ensure that all billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate, validated and ready for processing.
Assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.
Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
Traveling with personal vehicle within the regional work area is required.
Successfully complete the 12‑month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies and performance milestones.
A Day in the Life The Logistics Specialist reviews data center inventory, inbound shipments and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained. Working with the Logistics Manager you create plans to optimize parts flow, track inventory location, movement, age and returns.
You work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately, and with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements. Regular communication with vendors to resolve issues and convey business requirements is essential.
Logistics Specialists must understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain high quality and be willing and able to work on powered equipment (e.g., forklift or cherry picker). They work in a warehouse or data center environment, depending on the region.
All candidates should be willing to work independently and with a team, prioritize work, organize, communicate effectively and react quickly. Shift work will include days/night, weekends/holidays. Traveling within the regional work area is required; a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license are necessary.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
Ability to work in a 24/7 environment with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
Work in cramped, elevated and/or noisy environments.
Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
Tolerate working in non‑climate‑controlled environments with varying temperatures.
Basic Qualifications
High school or equivalent diploma.
Age 18 years or older.
Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems.
STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.
Experience in oral and written communication.

Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $39,200 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $83,800 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills and experience. Amazon may provide equity, sign‑on payments and other forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package.
