Work Based Learning Program Logistics Specialist . This entry‑level position is part of our 12‑month Work‑Based Learning Program (WBLP) and will take place at our San Francisco facilities from January through March 2026.
About AWS Infrastructure Services AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor and team communication including data entry, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving inquiries from cross‑functional teams.
Ensure billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate and ready for processing.
Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials.
Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.
Maintain precise records of all inbound and outbound commodities.
Travel within the regional work area by personal vehicle.
Successfully complete the 12‑month WBLP training curriculum, including safety certifications and technical competencies.
Day in the Life The Logistics Specialist reviews data center inventory, inbound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain proper stock levels. Working with the Logistics Manager, you create plans to optimize parts flow, track inventory location, movement, age, and returns. You work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately, and with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
Work in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
Operate in cramped, elevated, noisy, or non‑climate‑controlled environments.
Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
18 years of age or older.
Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.
Preferred Qualifications
STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
Knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, and inventory management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $39,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $83,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
