Work Based Learning Program Logistics Specialis Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Logistics Specialists as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). This entry‑level position requires the successful candidate to report to a site location. Amazon has multiple WBLP trainee openings between January 2026 and March 2026. Trainees will participate in our 12‑month work and training program in our San Francisco facilities.

All Physical Requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations.

Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.

Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with the ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.

Working in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments.

Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day.

Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.

Tolerance for working in non‑climate‑controlled environment with temperature fluctuations.

NOTE: A lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who need to relocate for this position.

Key Job Responsibilities

Vendor and team communication including data entry, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving inquiries from cross‑functional teams.

Ensure that all billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate, validated and ready for processing.

Assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials.

Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick‑ups to and from production locations.

Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.

Travel using a personal vehicle within the regional work area.

Successfully complete the 12‑month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including all required safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones.

A day in the life The Logistics Specialist reviews data‑center inventory, inbound shipments and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels are maintained in the assigned data center to support build and repair activities. Working with the Logistics Manager, you will create plans to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; tracking inventory location, movement, age, and returns. You will work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. You will also work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements. Regular and ongoing communications with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements necessitates a high‑level communicator.

In addition, Logistics Specialists are required to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment (e.g., forklift or cherry picker). Candidates will work in a warehouse or data‑center environment depending on the region.

All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization, organization skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.

You will be required to work shift work that will include days/night and may be required to work weekends/holidays. Traveling within the regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license to travel within the regional work area, as company transportation will not be provided.

Basic Qualifications

High school or equivalent diploma.

Are 18 years of age or older.

Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations.

Preferred Qualifications

STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education.

Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

Knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems and inventory management.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $39,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $83,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
